Often considered the light exterior of the Back-Alley Market, stalls that set up their shops in this area of the Back-Alley Market are officially licensed and receive all of their meat from hospitals and crematoriums. The guilt is said to way less on the Carnivores who indulge themselves in the White Meat Market and are considered to be the less depraved members of the Back-Alley Market. Restaurants are especially capable of preparing the meat for consumption and make it easy for first-time meat-eaters to indulge in a hope to acquire another frequent customer. This is often considered nothing more than a skin layer that hides the true darkness of the Back-Alley Market but maybe it is just as dark as everything else. At least you know where the meat comes from.
The start of the declining evil of the Back-Alley Market, stalls that set up their shops in this area of the Back-Alley Market never officially say where they get their meat and are not licensed, store owners. The quality standard of the meat can range from highly succulent to rotting and bitter with no legal requirement to serve it otherwise. You will often find full Nomivore carcasses for sale out here with little regard for who they used to be. Unlike the White Meat Market, there are very few restaurants that specialize in the preparation of meat, instead, they rely on the thrill of eating a raw Nomivore. Veterans of the meat trade often find themselves frequenting this place in particular or those who are addicted to the flavor of fresh meat. Once you are tainted by the dark you may not be able to return to the White-Meat Market so buyer beware.
A long and dark alley wedged between the Dark Meat Market and the White Meat Market, it is the home of those who are desperate for money more than anything else. Herbivores and Carnivores alike are littered with Yen numbers attempting to get money for whatever hole they have buried themselves into. A common saying in the Back-Alley Market is “This is where Predators are made.” It isn’t rare to find stores that purchase Nomivores entirely and sell them out like merchandise. This cramped nook of hell is where humanity goes to die. Make sure the feral doesn’t consume you as you devour the truly hopeless.
A massive and decomposing structure of stone that was once a hospital. The windows are now covered in dripping layers of rock and moss that hide the depraved demons that lurk within. This is where living adults and children alike are sold off for incredibly high amounts to be consumed. Often the waits are nearly monthly and special commissions are accepted for the abduction of certain children. If the Blood Red Alley is where you go to lose your humanity this is where you go to embrace that loss. Despite its appearance, this is where some of the most high profile people in society go to indulge their meat cravings, those who have the money to acquire only the most ideal meat for their high tastes. It isn’t clear how you can get a job in this industry some say you have to come with a gift to get in on their underground dealings, but that could just be a rumor to lull unsuspecting dreamers into an early grave.
Gated behind several abandoned train tunnels this old hospital buried deep within a grotto is home to the act of selling very specific pieces of Nomivores. Specially trained Nomivores who have high degrees in medical fields often come here and apply due to the amazing pay that this dark industry brings. They often have people who sell themselves to the hospital when they have nothing left and are carved to bits until they are just a bloody mark of a being. Due to the medical masters on staff patients very rarely die and are kept alive until there is nothing left to be gained from their bodies. Leftovers are either sold as leftovers to the White Meat Market or dumped into the untamed waves of the grotto and turn the waters into a bloody red sea that creates a disgusting and foreboding atmosphere. This hospital is often utilized for a very different reason. Mafia’s can make use of this specialty hospital for the act of torturing people for information due to the Vulture Hospitals skill at keeping people alive for prolonged periods of time. This is one hospital you don’t want to find yourself checking into.
If the slums are considered the low brow housing then these are considered the homes of the truly lost. Homes that have been turned to waste and coated in a thick stench of death riddle this deep part of the Back-Market Alley. Some people come here to seek shelter from the harsh outside world but find that this place is even darker. Carnivores find themselves literally fighting for their territory like they were lesser creatures in the wilds as if they have returned to a state of feral madness. While Herbivores who wander here are captured and turned into nothing more than feeding pens for the Carnivores who claim residence. Only the truly delusional would attempt to live here but certain crazy individuals who prove themselves even more insane than the average Nomivore realize the advantage this location brings and use it to further their illegal services or their underground research by using the wall of feral predators as an almost impassable wall of violence. There are certain pathways that are safe but you’d have to find a local who could guide you through unless you want to be torn apart.
A real estate company that has made a name for itself by buying out several locations around the Back-Alley Market and reselling them to high profile individuals. They are most well known among the Mafia for being the ones to trust with the best land in the Back-Alley Market. Ranging from fully functional skyscrapers to underground sewer systems that can get you into the Central City and Back-Alley Market safely, these are the people to trust with all your land-based needs. They can convert any area in the Abandoned Housing area into perfect land for you and your Mafia! Even at a discount at that~! Anything to help out the Mafia right?
